SIGNATURE OF A PROTOCOL AMENDING THE TAX CONVENTION BETWEEN ALBANIA AND THE GRAND DUCHY OF LUXEMBOURG AIMED AT AVOIDING DOUBLE TAXATION
Our Chamber of Commerce is delighted to inform our Albanian and Luxembourgish members and communities that Albania and Luxembourg have finally signed the Protocol amending tending to avoid double taxation, signed in Luxembourg on January 14, 2009.
The Protocol was signed on Wednesday October 21st 2020 between the Minister of Finance Mr. Pierre Gramegna and the Ambassador of Albania, Mrs. Suela Janina.
The signature of this important Protocol will open the doors to the final lifting to double taxation between our two countries therefore inciting an increase of commercial exchanges and investments and an overall positive economic impact for businesses and individuals between the two countries.
The execution of this Protocol would not have become a reality without the continuous efforts and lobbying of our Chamber of Commerce which since the start of its activity in 2018 made the signature of this document one of its cornerstone missions.
Congratulations to Albania and Luxembourg for this important milestone!
